 Featuring over 100 worksheets and dozens of lesson plans, the site presents the West as a contemporary, dynamic, diverse, and transnational region. EXPLORING THE WEST was created and funded by the Bill Lane Center for the Study of the North American West, an interdisciplinary research and teaching institute at Stanford University. While the website is designed chiefly for high school teachers, its worksheets and plans provide a unique resource for community college instructors and students interested in deepening their understanding of the region's history, culture, and politics.
