My Search for RLOs

Well, I am working to build my Surface Water Hydrology class. I began by drafting my syllabus and then exploring the MERLOT RLO repository. I got myself set up with an account and began searching.

I found a number of potentially useful objects. I created a personal library and stored nearly 20 RLOs there. My next step will be to view them to determine if they are appropriate for my class and whether each will fit in to my teaching style and content.

While searching for the objects in my library, I found that I liked that I could search by keyword or by general topic. The only thing that I would have changed was that I was not able to return to my list after adding an object to my library so I had to do another search and then find the page that I was on, each time I added a new object to my personal library of RLOs.

Next steps:
1. Review the objects in my MERLOT library
2. Conduct a search of another repository
3. Begin to integrate the RLOs that I would like to use into my course
4. Forward a list of RLOs that my colleagues may find interesting to them

I'll let you all know how it goes :-)
