Some thoughts...

I've been researching some potential speakers and discussion board moderators and as I read through a presentation by Brian Lamb of University of British Columbia (UBC), I started thinking about what the best approach would be to approach the development of RLOs for MCCD.
In his presentation, he stated:
[at UBC] * Allied groups with diverse needs and priorities struggled to articulate common principles: decentralized applications; range of (standards-compliant) tools and systems; local control of material (at user level when possible); flexible workflows.

It made me think about how we should handle this at an institutional level...

What are your thoughts on this? Should we approach it at an instructional council level and divide and conquer to create excellent resources? Should we continue to have faculty develop them as they need and collect them in repositories? Should we find a better way to let our faculty know that these RLOs exist and perhaps catalog them based on course competencies? How can we involve adjunct faculty with the development and use of RLOs?

Just some thoughts...

I think it might be interesting to ask Brian Lamb to lead a discussion on what practices would be best for Maricopa and aid us in assessing the current status and future goals for MCCD in regard to RLOs.
