RLO101 - UP and Running

We currently have 8 participants in our RLO101 Learnshop. The Learnshop in now "up and running" and folks are already in there working. Lisa and I would like to invite you to register and join us.

We have 2 guest presenters that we excited about. Our guest presenters will lead asynchronous online discussion boards regarding the effective use of RLOs.

D'Arcy Norman tracks projects at the Learning Commons at the University of Calgary. He focuses on software to support the practice of teaching and learning, specifically learning object management tools like CAREO and APOLLO.

Scott Leslie is an educational technology researcher and emerging technology analyst. He currently works as the Manager of the BCcampus Learning Resources Centre, a multi-disciplinary 'open content' repository. In addition, he researches course management systems, repository and eportfolio software with Dr. Bruce Landon as part of the Western Cooperative on Educational Telecommunications' (WCET) Edutools.info team.

The presenters will:
* Share important readings about RLOs with participants
* Share examples of RLOs and RLO repositories, as well as their use
* Lead discussion on the readings and examples
* Review assessment materials and provide feedback to participants

They will be sharing this in our Ocotillo Central - Learning Objects Discussion Board.
