Exhibitors at the League For Innovations’ Conference on Information Technology Conference
This evening I attended the opening reception of the League's Conference on Information Technology and got to learn about a number of products that were exhibiting at the conference. Some I was already familiar with, others I had hoped would be there. This certainly is not a comprehensive list and will not come close to doing the many excellent products out there justice, but I just wanted to let you know what I found to be interesting.
First, the RLO favorites were there. We have held a number of LearnShops to build your own RLOs featuring Matchware’s Mediator 8 and SoftChalk’s LessonBuilder software. LessonBuilder is Beta testing a new version that will include more style sheets as well as the ability to have custom style sheets and more types of activities! I also visited with Impatica, which is a product that does a number of things – I have used it to condense my PowerPoint presentations for use in Blackboard courses.
Merit software, Anystream Apreso Classroom and Tegrity are products that allow you to capture streaming video of your courses and then make it available to your students. Tegrity announced that they will also be Podcasting the instruction. Both of these products do much more, so I encourage you to check out their websites to learn more!
I also found out that TechSmith is coming out with Camtasia release 3 which will have additional compression and other neat features.
I was also able to get some information on some other presentation software including Macromedia Breeze and Elluminate. I’ve heard so much about them, I can’t wait to investigate them some more!!

Hi Lisa and Donna,
Donna, I saw your name on the Camtasia blog site. We use the program here at Polaris, and it's great! Lisa, I have some colleagues that use Breeze. It's really cool, similar to WebEx for online collaborative meetings.
