RLO of the Month: February

February's RLO of the month is The Particle Adventure, created by the Particle Group of Lawrence Berkely National Laboratory.

This RLO is supported by the US Department of Energy and the NSF, and has been translated into 14 languages. It has won many awards, including those from Discovery Channel School, Science Magazine, Scientific American and many more.

This RLO would be great for a class that deals with principles of chemistry and/or physics. Basically, it looks at what the world is made of and how it is held together.

"This is an interactive tour of the inner workings of the atom and the tools for discovery." It has an easy to follow table of contents and provides opportunity for assessment throughout the RLO.

It does a great job grasping the learner's attention and holding it.
