Pachyderm is within my view
I am getting closer to working with Pachyderm.
I now have a username and a password and I found that the NMC has provided a template workbooks so we can plan our learning objects effectively.
I was kind of excited to jump right in, but I know that it will be better to plan my project carefully to eliminate any pitfalls in development.
I have two initial projects in mind that I would like to accomplish this semester.
One will be used in a short-term way as it will be my presentation for the Ocotillo Retreat, Technology, Learning Beyond Boundaries . I plan to present information on what the RLO action group has accomplished in the past two years. I think this project will be more manageable and easy to accomplish as I have a number of multimedia files that Donna Rebadow and I used in our presentation for the CIT conference in Dallas last fall.
The other project that I would like to work on is placing my Introduction to Hydrology course, which I teach online, in Pachyderm. This will be quite involved as I will have to re-think delivery, which templates would best deliver certain content, deciding which topics must be linear and which can be accomplished based on student interest, etc.
I am pretty excited about both projects. I plan to get started with my planning for the retreat project this week.
I'll keep you posted!
